Position-based attribution, often called U-shaped, values the two moments most marketers care about: the touch that introduced the person and the touch that converted them. Each gets 40% of the credit; the remaining 20% is shared by the touches in between.
It's a good single view when you want to balance acquisition and closing without picking one over the other.
