Ad tracking from the click all the way to the sale

Know exactly which campaign, ad set and ad brought in each lead and each dollar, across every ad platform you run.

  • Flat monthly price, no revenue tax
  • No annual contract
  • Tracking starts the minute the snippet is live

Ad platforms tell you how many people clicked. They can't reliably tell you who bought, how much they spent over time, or whether the sale would have happened anyway. BrainyMetrics tracks the click on your own site and follows the person through to revenue.

tracko.js reads UTMs (including GA4's newer parameters), more than 20 click ids such as gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid, ttclid, msclkid, li_fat_id, ScCid, epik, rdt_cid and twclid, plus campaign, ad set and ad ids you add to your URLs. Google's gad_source and gad_campaignid are read too, so Google Ads clicks are recognised even when the gclid is stripped.

The problem

What it costs to go without ad tracking

Ad managers show clicks, impressions and their own conversion counts. They cannot show you who actually paid, how much they paid over the following months, or whether that buyer also came through three other channels. So the numbers that decide your budget come from the party selling you the ads.

Small tagging gaps make it worse. A campaign launched without URL parameters, a gclid stripped by a redirect, a click id lost in a cross-domain checkout: each one turns paid traffic into "direct" or "organic" and makes your best ads look worse than they are.

What you get with Ad tracking

Every major ad platform

Meta, Google, YouTube, TikTok, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, X, Taboola and Outbrain.

Ad-level ids

Campaign, ad set and ad ids and names flow into reports, so results join with spend at every level.

Click ids you'd otherwise lose

Click ids are recovered from ad cookies like _fbc and _gcl_aw when the URL no longer carries them.

No retagging to switch

Parameter names from other attribution tools are accepted, so existing ads keep working.

Tagging check

A warning appears when an ad platform sends untagged or partly tagged clicks, with the fix ready to copy.

Creative-level view

See the same ad across every campaign and ad set it runs in, with its combined spend and revenue.

See ad tracking working on your own data.

How it works

  1. 1

    Add URL parameters

Copy the template for each platform from Settings → Install. One Google Ads account-level suffix covers every campaign type.

  2. 2

    Install tracko.js

The snippet reads the parameters on landing and keeps them for the whole visit.

  3. 3

    Sync spend

Connect Meta, Google or TikTok to pull spend per ad every hour, or import a CSV for other networks.

  4. 4

    Compare ads

Sort by revenue, ROAS, CPA or cost per new customer and move budget to what works.

Use cases

Ad tracking in practice

Kill losing ads faster

Sort every ad by attributed revenue and ROAS after a few days of spend and switch off the ones that bring clicks but no buyers.

Find your best creative

See one creative's combined results across every campaign and ad set it runs in, so you know whether the hook or the audience is doing the work.

Catch broken tagging

Get warned when a platform starts sending untagged clicks after a new launch, and copy the fix before the data gap grows.

Why BrainyMetrics

Marketing without guesswork

What changes when every lead, call and sale is tied back to the ad that started it.

Meta, Google and TikTok each claim the same sale, so platform totals add up to more than your bank account.
Each sale is counted once, from your own checkout data, and reconciled against what each platform claims.
Analytics gives the last click all the credit, so the ads that start journeys look like they lose money.
Seven attribution models are computed for every conversion, so you can compare first click, last click and everything between.
Phone calls and booked calls are a black box. You know they happened, not which ad caused them.
Calls and bookings are matched to the visitor's session and the ad behind it, then tracked through qualified and closed.
Ad blockers, Safari and cross-domain checkouts quietly break your data.
A first-party tracking subdomain, server-set cookies and cross-domain linking keep journeys intact.
Spend lives in one tab, revenue in another, and ROAS is a spreadsheet you rebuild every Monday.
Spend syncs hourly and sits next to attributed revenue, so ROAS, CPA and profit are on every row, down to the ad.
Ad algorithms optimise on the few conversions their pixel happens to see.
Real purchases and leads are sent back to the ad platforms' conversion APIs, deduplicated against the pixel.

Stop guessing which marketing pays.

Get started
Do I need to change my ads?

Add the URL parameter template for each platform once. Click ids are captured automatically; the template adds campaign, ad set and ad ids so reports can go down to the ad level.

Does it work with Performance Max and YouTube?

Yes. Google's account-level final URL suffix covers Search, YouTube, Demand Gen and Performance Max. Performance Max spend is stored per campaign because it has no ad groups or ads.

What happens to clicks that arrive without tags?

They are still tracked, but may be classified as organic. The Attribution report warns you when a platform with spend is sending untagged clicks and shows the template to fix it.

Can I run it alongside my current tracking?

Yes. tracko.js runs next to your existing pixels and analytics tags without changing them, so you can compare numbers before you switch anything off.

How long does setup take?

The basics take minutes: paste the snippet, connect your checkout or funnel builder, and connect your ad accounts. The setup checklist in your dashboard ticks each step off as data arrives, so you always know what's left.

Do I need a developer?

Usually not. The snippet can go in through Google Tag Manager, WordPress or your funnel builder's tracking code settings, and most revenue sources connect with a click or a webhook URL you paste. The developer guide covers the JavaScript and server API if you do have a developer.

Does the price go up as I grow?

No. Plans are a flat monthly or yearly price. We never bill a percentage of revenue or ad spend, and you can switch, pause or cancel from the Billing page without a call.

Does tracking stop if I hit a plan limit?

No. Plans limit dashboard modules and things like integrations or workspaces; tracko.js, webhooks and syncs keep collecting data, so nothing is lost if you upgrade later.

Is it privacy friendly?

Yes. BrainyMetrics supports consent modes, works with your consent banner, respects Global Privacy Control and handles sensitive form fields strictly. Data is first-party: it belongs to your workspace, not an ad network.
